I thought when I was done with being a teenager, I was done with blemishes. Why am I breaking out as an adult?
Adults can develop acne later in life for many reasons: stress-induced hormones; pregnancy-induced hormones; childbirth; menopause; or stopping the pill.
Now that I’m past my 20’s I’m noticing that my skin does not seem as firm or plump as it used to and that my complexion is more dull and uneven. Is there anything I can do about that?
After your 20’s your skin collagen and elastin reduces which can lead to wrinkles and cell renewal starts to slow down. Dedication to a regular skin care routine will help reduce the appearance of maturing skin. Regularly cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating skin is imperative, however, the ingredients used in your products is also imperative. Our products contain ingredients like age-fighting peptides and antioxidants to combat signs of maturing skin.
Is washing my face doing enough to address my blemishes?
Cleansing your face alone will not clear up blemished skin. But keeping your skin clean with a wash and/or toner is the first important step in clearing dirt and oil build-up out of pores so they don’t clog up and lead to break-outs. Exfoliating your skin is also important to get rid of dead skin cells which can mix with dirt and also clog pores. Also important is keeping your skin moisturized. Dehydrated skin produces dead skin tissue on the surface of your face which in turn clogs pores.
I’m not 16 anymore… Is there a way to reduce the appearance of blemishes and fight signs of aging?
Yes! Amalou Skin™ was developed with anti-aging peptides and antioxidants like grape seed oil and green tea extract, as well as blemish fighting ingredients. We believe your skin care should multitask, just like you do.
Is Amalou Skin™ an organic or all-natural skin care line?
Amalou Skin™ is formulated with many beneficial natural ingredients but it is not an organic or all-natural skincare line.
Are there any synthetic ingredients in your products?
Yes, as some synthetic ingredients are vital to maintaining the performance and stability of our products. Our goal is to deliver effective and luxurious skin care products for the mother-to-be who wants it all – products that help you achieve great skin with peace of mind.
Are there any side effects to using Amalou Skin?
Side effects are usually mild and may include irritated or dry skin in some users. We suggest testing for an adverse skin reaction by applying the products to a small area of affected skin during the first few days of use. Some people may be hypersensitive or allergic to ingredients like azelaic acid which is in our products. If you are one of those people, you should not use a product without discussing it with your health care provider first. For a full list of product ingredients, please refer to our product pages and packaging.
If I have other skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema, should I use Amalou Skin products?
If you suffer from a skin condition like these, in addition to acne, we recommend talking with your skin care or health professional first before trying our products.
We hope you enjoy our products and invite you to submit suggestions for future offerings.
